Founded in 1972, The Love Movement this year celebrates 40 years of “Healing Hearts and Changing Lives one ‘note’ at a time.” This ‘Family of Choirs’ has long outgrown the conventional confines of a choir, to become a truly unique organization with a life-changing Youth outreach programme; targeting the country’s disadvantaged young people by using the performing arts as a medium to spread God’s message of love and salvation. The founding group of 15 Ladies has now blossomed into a Trinity of Choirs, with a total of 200 members.
The Love Movement’s second major concert to celebrate this milestone and blessings will take place at Queen’s Hall on the 9th, 10th, and 11th of November, aptly entitled “A Journey of Love.” The production will feature the Lights of Love Children’s Choir with the popular musical “Cinderella”, while The Republic Bank Love Movement Youth Outreach Group will present excerpts from the musical “A Joyful Noise” and the Senior Choir will showcase popular music from the 70’s. The final segment will usher in the Christmas Season with well loved and soul stirring Christmas carols and songs performed by all three choirs.
Tickets available at the Queen’s Hall Box Office.
