About the Show
Brian Mac Farlane is living proof that creativity and passion breeds success. And the more creativity wields, the more passion he expends and the more success he achieves, the further he pushes boundaries. It’s an exciting creative cycle and he is riding high and blazing trails.
Even though Trinidad and Tobago and the region at large has been faced with an economic downturn, others smitten with a grievous natural disaster blow, the ordinary response is to succumb to its daunting tyrannical presence. Instead, there has been an outpouring of positivity and neighborly love expressed through various projects of giving back to help those affected rebuild their livelihood.
We at Christmas Joy Productions continue to nurture a habit of charity and compassion and by virtue of our efforts, we have adopted the Hope of a Miracle Foundation with part proceeds of the gala wine and cheese event in support of their ongoing work with children who are in need of treatment and surgery that can only be accessed abroad.
The two matinee shows will also welcome children’s and senior citizens homes to witness the awe inspiring work of Brian Mac Farlane as a gift of love to those among us who are under privileged and sometimes shut in.
Under the distinguished musical direction of world renowned Hungarian born Dr. Charles Brunner, the orchestra’s symphonic blend depend instrumentally on his arrangement and skillful lead. Joining the creative team this year as Choir Director and Assistant Musical Director is Choral Clinician, Adjudicator and Chairman of the Music Festival Association Mr. Victor Prescod. Returning to add flare and drama to the cast is well known Dr. Helmer Hilwig with many years of experience working with major productions across the world.
Coming to the Queen’s Hall stage for the very first time together is the newly formed B Macnificent Voices Choir. Some six months ago a nationwide call was put out inviting singers and performers from various walks to audition for a once in a lifetime opportunity to be selected for this mega production.
