Fantasy in Dance 2015, Caribbean School of Dancing’s triennial school show performance featuring students from the primary to advanced levels of both the Port of Spain and Curepe branches of the school. This year’s show includes four performances in the dance styles of Ballet, Modern and Tap in choreographic works produced by the teachers of the school.
“Sweet Dreams” choreographed by Bridgette Wilson features the junior ballet and tap students alongside the senior modern dancers in an original narrative of the grand opening of a confectionary shop. Carol Yip Choy’s adaptation of “The Princess and The Frog” includes the senior students of the Curepe branch as they tell the story of the familiar tale through a variety of dance techniques. Closing the show will be Joanne Decle and Michelle Mose’s “Progressions” featuring the senior students of the Port of Spain branch in an elegant portrayal of classical ballet.
