CARIFESTA XIV…UMOJA THICKER THAN WATER

Today at Queen’s Hall, we host the CARIFESTA XIV event: UMOJA…Thicker than Water at 7pm.  This event will feature interspersed readings from “Thicker than Water” – a publication from Peekash Press, an agency of Bocas Lit fest.  Come see performances by Brother Valentino, WASAFOLI Trinidad, Modupe Qunilu “Dayo Bejide”, Nisha Guy, Lucy Regis, the Egbe Omo Oni Isese Traditional African Association and the San Juan South Secondary school (drumming)è.  Regional delegations will include the National Dance Company of Guyana, the Thèâtre National d’Haïti and the QUILT and Ashe Company from Jamacia.

The event is free to the public, however a ticket will be required for entry. In keeping with the CARIFESTA XIV policy, tickets will be distributed 3 hours before the show. For more details, visit www.carifesta.net!
