The ‘Trini’ story of a boy called “Piñotito” carries us on a journey of a wooden carnival doll created by the greedy owner of the toy shop. He, along with other characters, are then by brought to ‘life’ by a magical fairy, who take on the quest of finding positive human traits to instill in “Piñotito” for him to get his dream of becoming a real boy. Along this magical journey, the characters learn  to understand the importance of school, telling the truth, the importance of not talking to strangers, listening to your parents/guardians, trusting your conscience and other positive traits as well as our local culture of carnival.

Carvalho Productions’ “Piñotito” comes to Queen’s Hall from Tuesday 21st to Monday 27th March with matinee weekday performances at 9:30am and 1pm and weekend shows at 3:30pm and 6:30pm. Tickets are $100.00 for matinees shows and $150.00 for kids and $200.00 for adults for weekend show.

Fareid Carvalho has been a producer in theatre for the past 17 years, more than half of which has been in producing Children’s/Family oriented theatre. “With the sometimes crazy schedule of producing a show it is always good to know that we can rely on the fully capable management and staff of Queen’s Hall. It’s always a pleasure working with them and I always look forward to bringing my production to their venue.”
