This Easter dreams come true as Cindon Productions in association with the Crazy Catholic present Aladdin and the Bollywood Princess live at Queens Hall on Glorious Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
The story follows the adventures of Aladdin, a young boy who comes from a poor family in Persia. When his father dies, Aladdin is tricked into entering an enchanted cave to retrieve a lamp by a villain (Ingelspring) posing as his uncle.
Aladdin is trapped in the cave and gets help from a genie of a ring to escape the cave with the Lamp. He soon meets the Genie of the Lamp – Prometheus who helps him in many ways.
Aladdin’s great hope is to marry the Bollywood Princess from India and to survive the dangers along the way. He is helped by Ali Baba, a unique character unlike anyone he has ever met.
Aladdin and the Bollywood Princess features dance, live singing and non-stop comedy that is appropriate for the entire family. It is a full of Bollywood dances and costuming relevant to the period. The play is written and directed by the Crazy Catholic with set and costume design by Cindy Rodriguez, Lighting by Celia Wells, Choreography by Shelci Marie and sound by Jabari Bowman.
The 16 member cast includes Joshua Gouveia as Aladdin, Shelci Marie as the Bollywood Princess, Rene Arneaud as Ingelspring, Darrion Michael – The Prince of Theatre as the Genie Prometheus, Andre Arneaud as Ali Baba and Mark Singh as Raj Ranchpoodle.
