Get ready for the seventh annual COCO Dance Festival and fourth annual COCO Dance Awards! This year’s season of dance takes place at Queen’s Hall from Friday, 30th October to Sunday, 1st November 2015.
The following choreographers will present new and recent work at the 2015 COCO Dance Festival: Bridgette Wilson, Afiya Huggins, Kinesha Charleau, Jacob Cino, Sade Chance, La Toya Jasper, Esrom Anil and Jillene Forde.
Also to be featured will be the energetic and highly experimental dance duet of Candelaria Antelo and Arthur Bernard Bazin who have been working together since 2010. In 2013 they started the company HURyCAN and presented “Je te haime”, which was awarded by the 27th Feria Internacional de Huesca as the best dance performance.
Through the “COCO in the Community” project, the Festival will partner with the Best Village programme and two groups from the Best Village circuit, Eh Bien Oui Don Don and the Jerningham Junction Performers will also perform.
The work of two of COCO’s founders Sonja Dumas and Nicole Wesley will also be showcased.
COCO Dance Festival is an open space for dance expression and the only show in town where one can see the very best of modern contemporary dance for TT$100.
Tickets are $100 for all shows. For more information: firstname.lastname@example.org or www.facebook.com/COCODanceFest
