October will end with a bang as the COCO Dance Festival unfolds its tenth edition with a packed programme of contemporary dance, dance-offs, films, workshops, masterclasses and auditions for elite US dance schools.
The Festival which runs from 26 – 28 October will host its mainstage events at Queen’s Hall, with other Festival events taking place at the Academy for the Performing Arts, the Carnival Institute and Grundlos Kollektiv, in Port of Spain.
The programme of events is as follows:
Fri 26 Oct, 5:30pm: HAPPY HOUR – pre-show drinks at Queen’s Hall
Friday ticket holders can mingle and have a drink with our local and international guests, dancers and choreographers, before the show. Site-specific dances will be presented in the foyer.
Fri 26 Oct, 6.30pm: Dance showcase / mainstage performances, Queen’s Hall – $100
Contemporary dance from T&T and the Americas
Sat 27 Oct, 3pm: Dance de COCO Dance-Off finals, at Queen’s Hall
Eight finalists compete for cash prizes, before a live audience and a
panel of judges, including a representative from World of Dance Trinbago.
Sat 27 Oct, 7.30pm: Dance showcase / mainstage performances, Queen’s Hall – $100

Sun 28 Oct, from 9am: Auditions & masterclasses, Joffrey Ballet School, at Queen’s Hall
Auditions are for Joffrey’s 2019 Summer Intensives. Registration for ballet is at 9am and for Jazz and contemporary at 10.30am, with auditions held immediately after registration. There is a USD fee (also payable in $TT).Visit: summer.joffreyballetschool.com

Tickets for COCO Dance Festival mainstage performances are $100, and for the COCO Dance-Off are $50, available from the Queen’s Hall box office, Queen’s Hall online (queenshalltt.com) and from various individual COCO distributors.
