An inspirational evening featuring your most favourite classics and Christmas music from the more traditional settings to some of today’s modern arrangements including all your most loved carols and Yuletide favourites, “Believe” perfectly captures the true spirit of the season.” said local tenor and impresario John Thomas at Believe Press Conference and Cocktail Event held at Fiesta Plaza, Movie Towne, Port of Spain on Tuesday 3rd December.

Speakers included His Worship the Mayor of Port of Spain, Alderman Joel Martinez, Damien Richardson Acting Director of Culture,  of the Ministry of Community Development, Culture and the Arts, Mr. John Thomas, Artistic Creative Musical Director of the Believe Franchise and Mr. Howard Sabga, President of Trinidad and Tobago Association for Retarded Children (Beneficiary Charity).

“Featuring specially handcrafted set designs, costuming and wardrobe, this spectacular musical performance will showcase over 150 onstage voices featuring The Eastern Chorale, The St. Joseph Convent Choir POS, The Symphony of Saints (CIC) and The Scholastic Academy Chorale, alongside animation from The Karline Brathwaite Dance Company, and some of our country’s brightest vocal sensations, performing in a multitude of genres from classical to jazz, gospel to R&B and pop to soul! This year’s line up includes child prodigy Soprano Clarice Beeput, Cellist Chelsey Fensom, Tricia Lee Kelshall, Kevon Carter, Candice Caton, Denyse Plummer, Mya Scott, L.A Rose, Nakita Gadsby, Johanna Chuckaree, Justin Zephyrine, Debbie Nahous, David Frank, Alicia Jaggasar, Lesley Lewis, Aurora Tardieu and Cecila Salazar. This inspiring concert brings to life the message of the Christmas Season—one of hope, peace and joy to all people, within 24 stunning performances.” continued Thomas proudly.

The evening was spent with an array of talent described as a teaser for what is to come. Guests and media representatives were then invited to a post cocktail reception. Amongst the audience were various media personalities such as Celia Scott, Jamie Thomas and other, former first lady Mrs Hassanali, Patron- Lady Hochoy Homes, Senator Clarence Rambharat and his wife, various representatives of the Ministry of Community Development Culture and the Arts, and prominent members of the local performing arts fraternity.

Over the two days, three showings would be staged. One on Saturday the 21st December at 7:30pm and two on Sunday 22nd at 1:30pm and 6:00pm respectively. The Gala show, being the Sunday 6:00pm event would start with a cocktail at 5pm for VIP patrons and invited guests in the Helen May Johnston Room.
