The Folk Theatre Season highlights the top three winners in the Folk Theatre Presentation from the Prime Minister’s Best Village Competition, which will bring closure to National Patriotism Month activities. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Community Development, Culture and the Arts, the objective of National Patriotism Month is to foster national pride through a series of cultural and environmental activities highlighting our nation’s rich heritage. Patriotism Month has been purposely placed between Independence Day (31st August) and Republic Day (24th September) – two national holidays which have traditionally elicited manifestations of national pride.
