TEDX 2019 – OPPORTUNITY

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. This event is called TEDxPortofSpain, where x = independently organized TED event. At the TEDxPortofSpain event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. Each year the event centres around a different theme.

For 2019, TEDxPortofSpain will explore the full spectrum of the theme OPPORTUNITY: an occasion or situation that makes it possible to do something that you want to do or have to do, or the possibility of doing something. An Opportunity can be pursued, lost, or stumbled upon. Speakers will include David Abdulah, Carver Bacchus, Onika Henry, Siana Teelucksingh, Gregory Aboud, Kari Cobham, Lasana Liburd, Imani Wilmot, Agyei Archer, Susan Francois and Elizabeth Montano.

TEDxPortofSpain will be held on Friday 20^th September 2019 at Queen’s Hall.  Registration begins at 12noon, while the formal programme will commence at 1pm. Tickets to TEDxPortofSpain cost $500 and are available online at www.tedxportofspain.com.
