Trinity All Generations Steel (TAGS) and School of the Arts is a community outreach music education program established in 1994 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. “All Generations” are represented in the school as enrollment starts as early as 5 years of age and extends well into adulthood, although most students are children and youth. TAGS prepares students for theory and practical examinations and performances mostly on the national instrument and their music education is supplemented with instruction in self-development and positive mental attitudes. Most recently they won the PanTrinbago trophy for Best Junior Pan Ensemble and the Lisa Wickham Trophy for the Most Outstanding Instrumental Ensemble of the Trinidad and Tobago Biennial Music Festival 2016.
“Blessed” is a production which celebrates TAGS’ 25 years of music ministry and service to the community. It traces significant milestones over the 25 years and applauds the work of the tireless volunteers in developing the musical, academic and personal talents of thousands of students who have come through the programme.
“Blessed” will be held at Queen’s Hall on Saturday November 2, 2019 at 7 pm. Tickets are priced at $250 and are available from TAGS personnel, Queen’s Hall Box Office and Queen’s Hall online ticket purchase system. For further information, please call 620-4717.
