Friday August 23rd 2024 marks one year since we lost our beloved Board Member, Michelle Joy. Michelle was a member of the Board from May 2018 until her untimely passing in August 2023.
Artist, poet, author and songwriter, Michelle’s dedication, passion and unwavering commitment to her craft left an indelible mark. Michelle published her book of poetry and art “Dance in the Rain” in 2022. Michelle Joy’s art pieces include ‘Verb Meditation’, ‘Pebble Rain’, ‘Reflection of Herstory’, ‘Hill Steps’, ‘A Word Apart’ and ‘Matrisse Inspired Symphony’ Her legacy continues to shine through the art and works she created.
As we reflect on her contributions and the positive impact she had on our organization, the Queen’s Hall Board and family of Michelle Joy will be commemorating this occasion with an intimate function celebrating her life and her art.
